Arrow Shocks and Struts

Im planing on buying the front and rear KYB GR2 struts for $53.17 for rear and $58.77 for front each and the Full set of lowering springs by Eibach which will make a drop of 1.4 for front and rear. They cost $287.93 So all together i'm spending $511.81 Do yall think that is good for suspension . I will be installing my self up at the tech center when i get everything. Please let me know if there is another way to go or if i could find this set up cheaper and if my set up is going to be okay. Thanks latta

Re: Shocks and Struts

I would go with the KYB AGX's over the GR-2's.

I'm gonna have to agree, That's what I had on the 2.2 and it's supposed to be the best suspension set up for the J's.

There is better things out there for the J's. Just not everyone has $1200 for the tein SS coil over system. Thats suppose to be the best or Gravana's system he had built and desgined from the ground up. I have the Eibach Prokit and Kyb AGX's and love the ride it gives the car, but due to my ever growing curiosity i would like to try the Tein SS one day. I just like the fact that with the tein kit, it gets rid of your strut mounts and has camber plates instead, so 1 it gets rid of the fact you won't have to deal with bad strut mounts anymore, I have personally blown 3 sets with my car, and you can get some positive camber. But thats just me.

Wouldn't it make the ride alot more stiffer tho? Compared to the KYB/Eibach setup.

Re: Shocks and Struts

if you're just gonna be swapping them out then why not go with cheaper OEM ones from your local parts store?

Re: Shocks and Struts

When the OEM's blow and leak oil everywhere... then you'll know why it was a bad choice. GR-2's are OEM replacements.

I hear ya but why pay more if he's just replacing them within a year or so anyway? Oem ones shouldn't go that fast.
