Re: 96 caravan sway bars.
I got a 2000 Caravan, and I had to replace the swaybar, it broke, replaced both links while I was at it. Those star holes you see are torx bit holes. I went through about six of the bits before I realized that the nuts were not going to budge. Ended up hacking at the nut with a dremel tool with a cutoff wheel attatchment. Just kept cutting on the nut, until I could tap it apart with a chisel. Get a new set of links, the new ones are a little better, they have a flat ground onto the mount stud for grabbing with a wrench. By the way, don't listen to the manual when it tells you to remove the whole engine mount tray to remove the sway bar. if you jack the vehicle up as high as you can, and have both wheels off, you can fish the swaybar in and out with a little patience.
Good luck.
