back Left turn signalbabalon1 07-23-2006, 11:33 PM my back left turn signal is not working i tried changing the bulb many times but whenever i turn the signal sound is very fast because its not working. Could it be a fuse or somthing if so which one and if i was going to buy the part what would i ask for? thanks my vehicle is 1997 chev cav my99cavy 07-23-2006, 11:37 PM is the front signal still working fine?? and after you change the bulb, does the bulb flash fast or is it just the sound going quick? as far as which fuse im not sure if that would cause it but if it was you would have to look in ur manual for the fuse chart and see which one it is. Cap0ni 07-23-2006, 11:45 PM aye my99 is correct in questioning the fuse, multiple things are wired into that same circuit, if only 1 thing isnt working its not the fuse... or really not likely to be i should say. the blinkers/brake lights (aside from the center light)/corner lights and i think maybe more are wired on the same circuit. it is very common to have issues with the multifunction switch inside your column. wiggle your wand around there see if it might come back on by chance. also make sure the bulb is plugged tight and the wiring in the back is good, check the harness and lampholder for issues such as loose parts or corrosion. make sure the lamp is getting voltage. babalon1 07-23-2006, 11:50 PM yah the front turn signal is working but not the back but the front signal goes really fast allong with the ticking my99cavy 07-23-2006, 11:53 PM well like caponi said, make sure everything is nice and tight. make sure there is no corrosion on the wires and the fittings Classicrocjunkie 07-24-2006, 01:41 AM ummm.... i'll be civil on this one and not bring up the blinker fluid. babalon1 07-24-2006, 01:13 PM ummm.... i'll be civil on this one and not bring up the blinker fluid. what is that. I actually found some of that ricey stuff in the front blinker fluid, and changed it out with GM FuseFluid from the Chevy dealer. Havent had a problem with them since! =Dwell at least you got all those annoying rice particals out of your system. Cap0ni 07-24-2006, 05:43 PM rice doesnt belong anywhenear you car, if you have it in there purge it immediatly it could cause your car to go Hyundai on you. the blinker fluid rarely has problems, ive had to flush mine 2 or 3 times but thats only becouse i turn so often. i dont like to drive straight i like to be on the edge. btw for those wondering why there blinkers are going hectic, its becouse if the system senses an issue with the circuit iE the blinker isnt blinking, thats its way of warning you. not all GM's do it but from my experience a hefty number of them do. Cavalier2000 07-25-2006, 09:54 AM drop it like it's hottt Young Chuck D 07-25-2006, 10:04 AM once i found a shrimp in my blinker fluid Cavalier2000 07-25-2006, 10:53 AM hmm fishy my99cavy 07-25-2006, 01:21 PM once i found a shrimp in my blinker fluidomg now i have heard it all. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
