Post Reprogramming Keyless Entry - '98 LeSabre

1998 Buick LeSabre Keyless Entry Programming

ALL TRANSMITTERS MUST BE PRESENT WHEN PROGRAMMING NEW REMOTES!

1. Turn OFF ignition switch.
2. Use a 3 amp fused jumper wire (two clip leads attached to either side of a 3 amp fuse and paperclips work, too) and connect terminals at the data link connector as illustrated below (black wire to black/white wire). The data link connector is located on the driver's side bottom of dash panel. (See picture)
3. Close all the doors.
4. Turn ON the ignition switch.
5. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm it is in programming mode.
6. Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK on one of the transmitters for 30 seconds.
7. After a 10-15 second delay the doors will LOCK and UNLOCK.
DO NOT TURN OFF THE IGNITION!
8. Repeat step 5 for each additional transmitter. (Even transmitters that worked previously must be reprogrammed).
9. Disconnect jumper wire from data link connector.
10.Turn the ignition off and test all transmitters to verify function.

Where is the illustration and picture?
Another post in this board said for a '98 LeSabre to short wires 4 and 8 on the DLC. I have a '98 LeSabre, and in the DLC, there is no wire on the 8th terminal.
