Knocking noiseRinky 07-22-2006, 08:47 PM I own a 1999 ford ranger, v6 Ive had the maf sensor changed ,all the plugs and wires, and it still has a knocking noise when I accelerate. Does anyone know what this may be and can it be fixed. Does anyone know what this may be and can it be fixed. Have the codes been scanned? Please describe the noise a little more, only at certain times? Location? Louder, quieter at different engine RPMs? It's a possible exhaust leak, the engine could be running too lean, something screwed in the valve traine, or a bad bearing. Could also be some other things as well.
