Not all the time, but sometimes (usually after I've been driving a bit), my front driver side wheel will start clicking.

I can tell it's clicking with the rotation of the wheel. The faster I go, the faster it clicks....seems to be once per revolution. It's not overly loud, you can't hear it in the car, I have to roll my window down to hear it.

I just wanted to ask what to have the dealer check for. It does not do this all the time, so I know the dealer will just say "could not replicate problem" and will send me on my way if I don't specify what to check for.

The car is just over 2 years old with less than 30,000 miles on it, so it's still under warranty.

What should I ask them to check for?

BTW, the wheel does not seem to click any more or any less depending on whether I am driving straight or turning.

With 30000 miles this cannot be your axles. Most likely this is your brake pads touch the rotor. Have you ever replaced front pads. That might be the sign of worn pads.
Remove the wheel and look in the small window in the center of the caliper. It will tell how much meat you have left on the brake pads.

Since it has not come up yet, do not set yourself up and ask the dealer or other repair person, "Do you think it is a loose nut behind the wheel?" Anyway, back to your problem. Have you checked the front tires for any nails/screws/rocks, since that may be the culprit. Tacks and screws are notorious for wedging themselves in and not causing a leak.
