Red face Volvo 850 timing belt life expectancy

I have a 1996 Volvo 850 with 125K miles on it. I just purchased it and I believe the timing belt was never changed. Any advice? Should I have it changed? What should I expect a shop to charge for this service? Thanks.

Re: Volvo 850 timing belt life expectancy

life of a timing belt is set to 80K clics. You should have it changed on a 850 'cause it's an interference motor. Seals, bearings and belt is about 6o$ labou is about 6 hours.
