94 Camry leaking brake fluid from black rubber assy

Anyone fixed this leak at front PS disc brake where there is a leak in the black rubber hose that attaches from main brake line to the caliper area. It is about a 12" black hose that crimps into a metal piece on either end that secures to a bracket on on end and into it seems the caliper area of the brake assembly. Someone told me that there are some retaining clips that need to be removed, etc. Is this repair easy to do, need a dealer part, or needs a special tool. I just replaced a rear wheel cylinder on my Chevy Venture last night and have done other brake shoes and disc repalcements as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

What you are describing is a flexible brake line. Get a new one and replace it. Bleed the brakes. The hose will have screw in type fittings crimped on the ends similar to a garden hose. Some flex lines need seals, if yours does then, replace those also. You will need two wrenches, one to hold the steel brake line in place while you use the second one to turn the flex line. Remove the caliper side first and install it last. You may have to remove the caliper to replace the line.

in my opinoin the flex hose is a easier job than the rear wheel cylinders, so you can do it its a snap

Thank you so much. This AutoZone Do-It-Yourself site is great and is very detailed. I did not know it existed.
