Exclamation 1970 Front Seats

Hey I'm in a bind, I need to know how to get the drivers side seat out of my 1970 type 1 beetle I tried disconnecting the spring and sliding it forward but it seems to be hitting a stop any hints???

The seat release lever must be turned all the way inboard. Try some WD40 on the guides to help it slide off. And make sure the carpet isn't catching.

After all. It's been on there for 36 years.

hope you got it out by now. But if you did not, their is a catch below the seat unlock lever onder the seat rail, just push it down with a long screwdriver when the seat stops and it will slide right out.
