Who's are you speaking of?

It's not hard to make them look good. In the next few months I'm putting Z24 bumper covers on it and the side skirts. I might also do the Sunbird GT headlight conversion. Then she'll be REALLL nice!

I'm also in the process of a 2.0 DOHC swap. :grinyes:

You're going DOHC too? Or did you mean the headlight conversion and bumpers?

I'm doing Phase 1 skirts and bumpers too.. These are phase 2.

Thanks, it went from a total piece of crap though. The car was covered in crap and wrecked in the front end. The front bumper actually still points down a bit because the bumper mounts must be bent. When I do the bumper conversion I will fix it. I had no idea until after I had already gotten the new bumper on. It really wasn't wrecked that bad either.

Got it painted, new wheels, major interior cleaning. The engine is still in good shape as far as the internals go, but it's getting a whole new T20SED swap from a daewoo/GM car since the blocks are the same. The heads just differ. And since it's a bit lighter, with a few modifications I should be getting the HP V6 Z24's get with out the extra weight. There are some guys out there with these same engines with turbos running 300+ hp/ 300+ lbs. ft. torque. There's another guy getting 500/500 out of the same basic engine. Except it was called an X20XEV and it had higher compression pistons.

Man.. I've been reading too much lol.

But in the future when the money is there, I plan to pull this swap back out and do a turbo setup. Most likely a remote mount.

Although I did find a 2.0 DOHC Lagos today at the junkyard, if I id any engine swap it'd be a V6...

Yeah.. I'd like to do the V6, but you can achieve a lot of power out of the DOHC engine and it's still lighter. I do think the V6 is more durable stock, but this car won't be seeing one because of the extensive modification required. If I ever find a decent condition Z I'll do a 3400/3500 swap in that. Maybe if I feel like being crazy I'll do a 3800 s/c. Who knows, but that's years down the road. This that I am doing now is just a simple way to get more power in a daily driver and still go faster than stock Z's.

yeha my car needed major interior cleaning, i bought the car for 400 from my mechanic and h said that the workers didnt want to even go near the car it was bad. the interior was just full of cigeretts and when i pulled the center ccouncal out it was just packed with ashes. i want to do the dash soon cause it is stating to smell again. i had pulled the trunk lining out it was bad and i had put my own custom one in . my engine is a 2.0 OHC and it is pretty fast too. i just recently changed my trans. filter and it funns good but now i agot all oil leaking out form under neith my car. i wish i could do all of that stuff but i have no money :(

As far as the oil leak.. It's either going to be the cam cover seal on the top of the engine sealing the cover for the cam (where it says 2.0 OHC) or it's the oil baffle/oil pan seal. Hopefully it's the cam cover seal because that's not that expensive. The baffle seal is going to cost $100-200. Try tightening the bolts on the oil pan and the cam cover, but first check to see if the gaskets look completely squashed.. If they do, you might just want to replace them, but sometimes the bolts on both of these can become loose.

How many miles are on it? At around 130,000 you might be looking at having to replace the headgasket. I would recommend finding a higher capacity radiator like one out of the v6 sunbirds because it will keep the engine a lot cooler. The 2.0's are good engines as long as they are kept cool. They don't stand well to heat issues. When I called to Performance Radiator here in my area they told me there was one with an added core (means more capacity) and my temps are constantly at 170-180. I also did the cooling fan switch MOD so I can turn my cooling fan on with a switch when Im sitting for a while and when the switch is off the fan functions normally. Check out www.v6z24.com and look under the how-to tab and click on performance. The instructions will be in there.

Ok. Are you going to make one? Or can we move it?
