GF416 Fuel Filter

I have done the research and I think that the filter is unavailable (except for a few for $2-$300) and that there are no repros either. My application is a 65 Corvette 396/425 and I would like to know if others have dreamed up some replacement solution. Originality is not important to me at this time...I just want to install a fuel filter in the factory location. Thank you for your help.
