timing belt and new AC problem

I just got a timing belt replacement package at the dealership close to my home this past friday. It is now Tuesday and the AC will not work. I know in the package, they replace the compressor belt. If the new compressor belt breaks what kind of effects will that have. My wife states the AC blows out hot air when she turns the AC on. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will a break in the belt cause a compressor to break?

Thanks.

It won't cause the compressor to break, but it certainly won't operate without the belt.
