Easiest Question on the Forums!!!!Myxlplyxxx 07-09-2006, 03:25 PM Am I correct that the '95 Lumina LS 3.1... And Now blown eng. '97 Lumina 3.1 Are Identical??? Im 99% sure but just have to ck considering I will probably buy that '95 in the next couple of days.... Thanks To all that replied to my other Post!!! MYX jeffcoslacker 07-09-2006, 03:43 PM Pretty much, except for control electronics, the '95 is OBD I the '97 is OBD II. So there is some subtle differences, but for the most part they are the same... richtazz 07-10-2006, 08:55 PM yes and no.... the 95 could be a ball and pivot rocker arm or roller rocker arm motor (change-over year, GM used both in this application), and the 97 is definitely a roller rocker arm engine. They are not compatible. 95 was the year GM started going to OBD-II, so if the emissions sticker on the donor car says OBD-II, and it has roller rockers, they should be virtually identical. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
