My check engine light came on yesterday. The code read P0305 (misfire in cylinder 5). It turns out that the Multi-Port injector for cylinder 5 needs replaced. Am I safe to drive with this for a few days until I have time to get it fixed?
Also, I have a rattle sound coming from somewhere and I can't tell exactly where it is at. It sounds like the front but also seems like it could be exhaust related. This time last year Isuzu removed a heat-shield in the front which they stated was causing a sound that was exactly like this. It sounds like a thin sheet of metal or something Anyone have experience with this?
When I am about to stop and am pulling into a parking spot at my apartment I hear a low-popping sound. I only hear it when I am stopping, but that could just be b/c it is so quiet and the car noise is not drowning it out. It almost sounds like there is something that may need tightened in the front. Any ideas?

What year? What engine? Did you just have the spark plugs changed? I've never heard of a fuel injector needing to be replaced if this is a 3.2L. 2000+ dont run well with certain brands of sparkplug & will throw a misfire code.

Yeah, I guess that info would have been valuable to include in the original post. I have a '99 V6 4WD Rodeo. The spark plugs were changed in August of 2004 and no issues until now.

Check the tightness of your spark plugs - make sure one didn't wiggle loose, i.e. misfire code and rattling sound.

We have an '85 Toyota 22RE p/up - granted a whole different vehicle entirely, however just before last winter truck begin running terribly and the front of the truck/engine begin sounding like a bag of M&M's.

Turned out one of the spark plugs had wiggled loose.

Probably a shot in the dark, but you do have a mis-fire code, which I would think is probably more spark-plug related.

And, the plugs could just need changed after 2yrs.
