did some work
well as most of you know my dad bought a 95 cmaaro v6 3.4 and there was some white smoke comming out the exhaust when you first start it up. Well i thought it was burning oil but it does not smell like oil, almost smells rich. I just replaced the fuel filter,s-belt. and all 6 plugs and wires and cleaned the throttle body out. Well when i pulled the plugs out they were original with 99,000 miles on them. But they were not oil fouled at all. They were real clean except they had a little of a white color to them what does that mean? It runs better now but it still smokes a little when you first start it still.

Re: did some work
white plugs means there running hot, ie lean. Or as stated, white smoke out of the pipes = antifreeze. Know waht an old school trick used to be for cleaning cylinders of carbon deposits? A couple drops of antifreeze in the plug hole, and crank her up, viola! cleaner cylinder.

Re: did some work
if you have a high compression motor liquid in the cylenders is a very bad idea. it dosnt compress and you got huge problems. plus when water mixes with a lubricant its not a lubricant anymore

Re: did some work
I know, that's why I said old school, so don't anybody go and start filling your motor up with the stuff now.

Re: did some work
Dont bother with the old school tricks like wright said, or pouring water into the engine while its running.
Just run sea foam through it.

Re: did some work
People,
I said it because he said the plugs had white resude, IE, possible intake manifold gasket leak!!!
Never once did say go dump a gallon of anti-freeze in motor. I said that' s what we
