I have a 1992 Stanza, it is throwing a lot oil all over the right side of the engine compartment. I have power washed it several times but can't seam to find where it is comming from. I just got done changing the oil pan gasket and it still does it. This time it lookes like it might be comming from above or around the power steering pump but con't see where. When it throws the oil it goes all over inside the fender well, tire, axle, firewall, front of engine, oil pan, etc. All of this started about a month after I had engine out and changed all of the gaskets, seals, hoses and a head job. If I had left it would not have gone this long before it started throwing the oil. It is only at the front of the engine and not the rear (right side of car). Any help would be app.

I bought a 1990 Stanza about a month ago for my 17 year old to start driving on. Same problem it sounds like ( when standing in front of car, oil all over left side of engine? ) If so, Power Steering pressure hose is where my leak was coming from. The oil was weeping/seeping through the hose because it was old or dry rotted, etc..I wiped hose clean, drove car for short time, came back as saw oil leaking through hose and check power steering fluid level and that should tell you if it's that if it's always low...hope this helps.

I'd check the valve cover gasket, That could cause a problem, bthey are very well made rubber gaskets, but they can dry rot in bad conditions.

I'd check the oil pressure sensor located just above the oil filter on the back side of the engine..a little leak here causes a big mess!!

If it isn't anything mentioned above, and you still don't have an answer, you will find that the front crankshaft seal is probably the culprit. They are very common. Just remove the belts and the crank damper and replace the seal. It's a $15 repair if you do it yourself.

In any case, let us know what you found.
