Re: Gotta check this out... what an embarrasement for mercedes

I would say this was due to inexperienced driving (lack of overall momentum and the guy kept stopping) combined with the absolute WRONG tires for the loose sand.

I'm sorry but the ML's AWD is far superior to Isuzu's 4WD, I've driven both (2000 Passport EX 4WD, 2002 ML 320 AWD) in several terrains.

The blondie at the end doesn't look too shabby. I think I would have walked it first, then blasted through without stopping. It's bad news if you loose momentum on deep, loose sand going uphill.

Re: Gotta check this out... what an embarrasement for mercedes

I hear ya boaz... The inexperienced driving is what makes it so funny. As for superior AWD... For 50 grand it really should be. I had heard so much about the MB traction control system that I didn't expect to see so much independant wheel spin.
Not trying to offend the MB crowd, I've owned a couple myself. But you have to admit, these guys in their matching 430s are pretty funny. I think if they scratched the paint they might cry.

Here's another one where he does some SERIOUS wheelin!

I'd like to see them perform with more appropriate tires, and possibly a 2" - 4" body lift
