Power steering problems...
Ok guys heres my little story, I noticed that my truck was going through alot of power steering fluid, so i decided to replace the pump (the pump had been replaced about 40k ago. Got home put the new pump on drove it around and it was still leaking. So i popped the hood and turned the wheel with the truck running and looked under the hood and it was spraying out from the high pressure hose. So i pulled the hose and the pump off. returned the pump got my old one back and bought the high pressure hose that i needed. Put everything back togather and no leaks. But also no power steering. It feels just like driving with no pwer steering at all. No heres my question. When swaping all the brackets and what not and when i put the pressure switch back in there was a spring looking thing that had something on the end of it. Now i dont know if i put it in backwards or what but would this cause my problem? Or mabee a faulty pressure switch? Or what could it be? Pump seems fine, gearbox seems fine. no kinks in the hoses or anything. Somebody please have an answer for me its driving me nuts!
