My '89L Acura Legend (sedan, 235K miles, Tuscanny Taupe) tranny went south a few months ago (see http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulletin/showthread.php t=79507&highlight=msb). It now runs on two gears :-(, one forward (2nd?), one reverse. It was my daily commuter (60+ miles/day) up to then. Alternator went during weekly startup and now needs a good jump start to even run.

I've replaced the vehicle in late March and am looking to get rid of this pretty much to the highest bidder (BRO) :-).

I've driven it 160K in 6 yrs. I was starting it every couple weeks but now the battery is dead. It's best used for parts by someone with the same car.

- engine still solid (burns/leaks some oil)
- all exterior lights/bezels intact/salvagable
- all accessories still work! (factory radio needs reconnecting)
- most body panels in decent shape with some rust but fixable (exc LR
fender)

Some unused, never installed replacement parts I have:
- air filter (6802)
- oil filter (PH8212)
- 1 qt Honda ATF
- lower radiator hose
- wiper arm control arm (passenger side only)

I also have these manuals in good shape (w/ a few grease spots)
- Haynes Repair Mannual (86-90 Legend, 86-89 Integra)
- Chilton Acura Repair Manual (86-93)
- Acura shop manuals (Set of 4, cost over)

Her are some of the more recently replaced parts:

3/06 235K shift position sensor (practically new)
2/06 234K front engine mount (practically new)
1/06 231K upper tranny mount
9/05 224K LF brake caliper, L/R front brake rotors, front brake pads
4/05 212K front oxygen sensor
upper left front control arm
12/04 203K right rear brake caliper
11/04 200K new windshield (not pitted!)
10/04 199K 2 tires
6/04 190K 2 tires
3/03 156K new battery (1-2 years left?)
?/01 Poineer TS-A1633 130W 6" (front)
and TS-A1645 8" 180W (rear) speakers

To not be misleading, this car also has had it's share of woes...

- missing passenger side mirror (clipped on mailbox)
- wrinkled hood (flew open at 30MPH)
- LR fender (gas filler area) has major rust (w/ cheap bondo job)
- minor rust on most other body panels (exc maybe RR door)
- "battery" alternator light just went on during my bi-weekly
"keep-it-running" startup/drive. Needs good jump start now.
- stereo (orig) unknown (replaced, but reselling replacement separately)
- needs exhaust work (getting a little noisy).
- tan seat leather (orig) quite torn (and duct taped)
- center console mildly broke (when removing replacement stereo)

I have full detailed maintenance records for the past six years it you want. More pictures can be made available.

Please email me (mikebroderick@yahoo.com) as I'm not actively reading this forum anymore.
