Accord Type-R?

Anyhow, I was surfing the net today and I found out that there is an accord type-r it simply is not imported. But lemme say, it looks like a sweet car.

Anyhow, does anyone have specs or other info on this car?

tenguzero Normal reputation
The R version is definately an awesome car. It first appeared in Europe around 95-96? (Correct me if I'm off) Then it was made available in Japan as the Accord Euro-R (since it was already dubbed Type-R in Europe) There is also an EX-r in Canada, but I think it's pretty much the same as the US Ex. One of the Honda performance mags recently featured a Turbo charged Type- R. Pretty Sweet.

Actually to the best of my knowledge the Euro Accord was only in Europe not Japan. The one in Japan was the "Sir" 94-97, Both of them have H22 in them instead of the standard F22. Both H22's in these particular models had 200hp.. If I'm not mistaken, www.h22a.com has the further specs of all H22's, to include these two types of Accord.

I know i'm probably WAY off here, but isn't there an accord euro type R in granturismo 3 and under specs it has 240hp or something like that? I know gran turismo is not really a reputable source, but I thought i'd give it a shot

no quite a few things about the body design, interior, and suspension are WAY different.
