2002 Corvette

Can someone give me an idea what a secondary air injection malfunction might be? I got the check engine light today and scanned it with my code reader. The code was p0410.

Re: 2002 Corvette

secondary air feeds air into the catalyst for emissions control. Is fed this air by a belt driven air pump mounted on the engine.

could be anything from the air pump not flowing, to a leak in a pipe or hose or the sensors that tell the pcm when to turn it on or wires to/from said sensors.
