Hello, I Own A 2001 Grand Am Gt & Ive Been Having Problems With My Sunroof. Before It Would Occasionly Not Open For Me. Yesterday It Was Working Fine. I Had It Open About 1/3 Of The Way & When I Went To Close It Nothing Happened. Is There A Way I Can Close It Manually Like A Crank Or Something? Its Supposed To Rain Today So Any Help Would Be Appreciated. Thanks
I dont believe thiers a crank
Check the fuse box, passenger side letter "I" sunroof.
when it wouldnt open, did it open a little then Pop open real quick?
If So , you may need to take it in to get repaired, or to be adjusted.
I CHECKED THE FUSE AND IT WAS ALRIGHT. WHEN THE SUNROOF WOULDNT OPEN IT DIDNT MOVE A FOR ME AT ALL. ITS WIERD BECAUSE IT WOULD WORK AGAIN LIKE A WEEK LATER. IM WONDERING IF MAYBE THE TEMPERATURE HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT. SEEMS LIKE IT WOULD ACT UP IN EITHER REALLY COLD OR REALLY HOT WEATHER.
temps doesnt affect the SunRoof, you must hav a short somewhere if the fuse is good.
OR the swtich(button) is bad or has loose wires..
Might also hav a bad motor on it, probly keep it shut and or take it to a shop that can diagnose and repair it.
Maybe it just needs some lube if the tracks look dry might try a little oil on them.
