my car shuts off at 110MikeReynolds 06-16-2006, 04:42 PM any one know how to take the governor out of a 2000 Buick Regal LS maxwedge 06-16-2006, 05:07 PM This requires a custom reprogramming of the pcm, the limit is in there for tire speed considerations. bnaylor can give you specific info on this I will pm him for you. 3800 engine? BNaylor 06-16-2006, 05:48 PM Maxwedge is correct. The PCM must be re-programmed to remove the speed limiter which is technically set for 108 mph. Digital Horsepower (DHP) will do custom programming on a Regal LS. But they do not have any ready to purchase/swap PCMs like for the Regal GS. Those are going for $99. Custom should be similar in cost if you just want the limiter removed and other programming. I can provide a web site address if you like. MikeReynolds 06-16-2006, 11:13 PM thanks guys i guess i will just send Digital Horsepower an email and see if they have any locations around Cape Cod BNaylor 06-16-2006, 11:42 PM thanks guys i guess i will just send Digital Horsepower an email and see if they have any locations around Cape Cod Here is the url to DHP which has a contact us: http://65.109.52.43/products.htm regalfriend 06-17-2006, 08:40 AM just curious? at 110 mph what would the RPM be at?
