2002 Air Conditionerbrewerbruce 06-05-2006, 01:31 PM I had my 2002 Tahoe in because the air condioning doesn't blow cold. They told me that the condensor is cracked and it would cost $800 to fix it. Does this sound unreasonable to anyone? MT-2500 06-05-2006, 02:34 PM I had my 2002 Tahoe in because the air condioning doesn't blow cold. How much of it labor and how much parts? MT MT-2500 06-05-2006, 02:44 PM I had my 2002 Tahoe in because the air condioning doesn't blow cold. So figure it out for yourself. New OEM condenser check dealer for price New aftermarket condenser 150-200$ Labor on condenser 1.5 hrs 100-200$ Evucate and recharge system 100-150$ MT 02tahoeguy 08-16-2006, 12:14 AM Thats less than what they robbed me for. Was it recent to a front end collision? Mine was covered under insurance, but then again so were a fer problems that I had before the wreck..... -Will swp5767 08-16-2006, 05:50 AM 800 is high, get a second opinion. Or, replace the parts yourself and have someone recharge the system. brewerbruce 08-16-2006, 09:34 AM I did get another quote and it was a tad higher yet. I did go back to the original place and had them fix it. It ended up costing me $745 when it was all said and done. I'm glad I did because right after I got it fixed, we had those days near 100 degrees. Can't imagine what it would have been like without the air being functional. swp5767 08-16-2006, 08:45 PM Well, glad to hear your blowing cold again. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
