Question How much do you actually pay for a new scooby?

I.E an Impreza base model is $18.3k msrp+620 dest.= $18,920- current $500 cash back= $18,420. Best bang for buck compared to any car with 165+ hp let alone with AWD and a lot of standard features. But how much can you haggle with a dealer? And does Subaru have year end sales?

Okay, lets get it straight right out the box, whether you can haggle with the dealer is totally dependant on a dealer, some are wolves out to get you and some are there to sell you a car.
As for year end sales, that's another dealer related item, the local dealer here has 3 2005's on his lot because he's too dumb to discount them to clear them off the lot.
Subaru runs incentive programs every month, you just have to pay attention to their website.

Ok thanks. So you are saying you know a dealer selling 05 and 06 subarus at similar prices? wtf
Here in NYC there are only two dealers so hopefully they might compete for their customers.

Depending on what you want and how much you want to spend for a comparison, my buddy bought an 05 limited with 13k in very nice condition (like new) for 18k out the door. If you buy a new 06, you could probably get one out the door for 25/24k and some change (depending on your credit). This is in cali were prices are higher too.

How did 18-19k jump to 24/25k? I think you are talking about the legacy. For me there is no point in getting the legacy; it's roomier but heavier and more expensive.
As far as California, I feel sorry for you. We have many fake republicans and communist democrats in New York too but it's not as bad here.

If you pay 24/25k for a RS you need your head checked.

Yeah, RWZ, they think they'll move the '05's at the same price as the '06's....that's why they still have them
