Short Ram for more HP

i didnt know, but according to aem's site, shortram intakes give a bigger hp increase. what happened to all the hype about "colder air, more hp"?? why are cai's so damn popular if they dont produce as well?

for example they tested a rsx. with a cai-4.7hp, shortram-7hp(max gain)

From what ive heard, ram air is good since it forces more air, but, cai are better for horsepower since you only get 1 whopping hp from every 10 degree difference in air temp that you are taking in. This from the "Honda Builder's Handbook" I guess it just depends on your setup. But since we have such small one-cammer-jammers, a lot of the higher hp increase results are from bigger motors, or ones with turbos.
