If the dealer wants 500$ labor tell him to shove it.
Flat rate labor is around 1.6 hrs.
Repair shop labor should not be over 2 hr at most.
New OEM shows around 125$ US for new motor.
Napa usually is a rebuilt motor. But a good rebuilt may be better who knows on stuff like that. Sometimes the new oem do not get a lot of mileage.
As said E bay has good deals. Just check out the seller real good.
If you want to do it yourself get some good repair info like a factory manual or a all data DIY sub.
They should have some pictures and instructions and sometimes the replacement motor has a few instruction or pictures with it..
Some of them have pop rivets that will need drilled out and replaced or bolts installed in place of them.
Just watch and keep your fingers and out of the road. Them things will eat up fingers and be sure to count all of them and make sure they are all still there when you get done.
Here is a link to all data DIY.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
