best tranny for b-series?

what is the best tranny can i use for the b series to give me more accereration but not lsd ?

and where can i find the tranny code ?

its debatable. you can search to find the debates. either the b16 (ys1 or s4c) hydro or the gsr (s80) hydro.

Id go with the b16, it is extremely short geared, and you will never fall out of vtec, and your tach will rap out faster then you can say, WOW!?

I had it on my built b20 stroker and jesus, i'd be in 5th 11 cars in front of them, before he would maybe hit 3rd or 4th.

Could I put a b16a tranny in a d15b jdm engine?

of course nooo. most d-series parts bolt on d-series only. and most B-series parts bolt on Bseries only. but if you need short tranny for the d15b you have to use the si tranny (d16z6) and if you need to know how to identify it read that http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=578769
