questions about ka24Dseries_lover 05-30-2006, 04:13 PM would a ka24 be a decent build for high school? all i got to beat is some hondas the best we got in school is a hatch with a a few upgrades on a d16z6 which is a vtec running about 150 horsepower. is it worth it or should i just swap a motor. sv650s 05-30-2006, 07:03 PM what you got? ka24e or ka24de? and ka24's are actually pretty good motors, people just blow the ca18 and sr20 way out of proportion......dont get me mistaken those motors have potential but my opinion is stick with your ka.....gives you even more money to mod the engine turbo2nr 05-30-2006, 10:23 PM ka24de motor t25-100 ssa bottom mount main. 125 sr20 side mount i/c -125 oem sr t25 turbo elbow-25 exhaust -250 bent at exhasut shop and possibably a fmu that good for about 170-180 hp on 7psi... and at about $600... (stock) that ive raced... Preferably i would stick with the ka myself too... ive been looking into engine swaps but for the money just to buy an engine with a turbo you can turbo the ka and have about the same amount of power...
