would a ka24 be a decent build for high school? all i got to beat is some hondas the best we got in school is a hatch with a a few upgrades on a d16z6 which is a vtec running about 150 horsepower. is it worth it or should i just swap a motor.

what you got? ka24e or ka24de? and ka24's are actually pretty good motors, people just blow the ca18 and sr20 way out of proportion......dont get me mistaken those motors have potential but my opinion is stick with your ka.....gives you even more money to mod the engine

yeah on the ka a mild and cheap turbo setup is what you need.

Man ive got the ka24 sohc and im getting beat by a crx dx with a mid air intake and an exhaust... lmfao!... i say you get the set up above and you will be smoking most honda's there... so far i can take the civic's and crx's... (stock) that ive raced... Preferably i would stick with the ka myself too... ive been looking into engine swaps but for the money just to buy an engine with a turbo you can turbo the ka and have about the same amount of power... Man i say turbo that KA and watch the civic lights in your rear-view... :grinyes: :grinyes:

learn about turbochargers and how they work, then piece together your own kit.

pffft a stock KA24DE will stomp the SHIT out of any stupid bolt on SOHC honduh. save your money if thats all you need to beat.
