Anyone have a problem with an old wet smell in the cabin? As if someone left wet sneakers in the car. My wife had taken the car to a dealer and refused to have about $350 worth of maintenance done on the car and about a month later her blower fan starts girggling as if it's under water. I eventually realize that there is a valve that allows water to flow out of the firewall area that was clogged with what looked like a small porous pebble and yellow silicon lubricant. Could this be the old clogged up valve again?

The AC drain is one culpret with water in the passenger compartment and may be clogged again.

Also, the cowl could be leaking water. This is evident by water showing up on your passenger side floor after a rain. Do a search on the topic and you should have plenty of info.

Yep, you have a cowl seal leak, pretty simple fix. Like Jesse suggested, do a forum search on this topic, it's fairly common.
