92 Chevy S - 10 Idle Problem

My 92 S-10 4.3l Idles Rough When I Stop At Lights. Runs Fine Otherwise. When I Stop At A Light It Will Idle Fine Then All The Sudden It Will Kick Down, Lunge Forward And Either Run Very Rough Or Die. When It Dies It Will Start Right Up. I Have Replaced The Egr Valve. I Had The Catalytic Converter Removed And Ran A Straight Pipe Back. Could This Cause The Idle Problem? Please Help

Re: 92 Chevy S - 10 Idle Problem

Welcome to Automotive Forums MINDYSUE
You probably have a vaccum leak there. My guess would be close to the EG valve since it was worked on (I assume when the problem started)

If you can take a can of WD40, and start spraying the vaccum hoses in the area you might hear the motor suddenly rev up. If you do the problem is in the area that you just sprayed.

Good luck, they can be hard to find
