i need help from someone who knows somthinghearseman666 07-27-2002, 01:41 PM Alright i got a 1984 buick hearse perfect condition except the transmision but thats not what this is about. I want to add a exhaust pipe and put either flowmasters or glass packs on it. Im not sure witch though and thats where i need help. Im more or less looking for performance and loud. I want real loud. I would also like to know if anyone knows about how much that will cost. I know this is an unusual car and if nobody can help i understand. its a v-8 305 is all i know, if that helps. Chris 07-28-2002, 12:09 AM Glasspaks will probably be louder. What you need to do is bend up some 3 inch piping and replace the stock exhaust. Then one glasspak should make it nice and loud. Then you need to get some flames:D hearseman666 07-28-2002, 05:23 PM Thanks bro for the help umm can you please maybe give me a price range. Chris 07-28-2002, 08:01 PM If you can get access to a pipebender (ie, at a highshool), you can bend up the metal pipe cheap. It should cost about 100 bucks, at most. The muffler, $50 for a glasspak. hearseman666 07-29-2002, 04:18 PM Good man thanks for all your help lets talk about a couple other things. Lets see what else we can think of i wanna get a red or black light undercar kit. Ummm im gonna get the windows tinted out. I wanna get somesort of lift or air suspinsion in the back to give me about six more inches back there. And im lookin to get some fat ass tires maybe 60s but not slicks cuz its illegal to drive on slicks in st.louis.Alright do your work you seem to know plenty, tell me what you think. Cbass 09-06-2002, 10:41 AM Sweet ons, hearses rocks! Dual exhaust with glasspacks would be enough to wake the dead(sorry, couldn't help myself). More expensive though. The flames aren't hard to do at all, unless you go for the fading kind. Those need to be done with an airbrush and it takes time... There would also be a lot of room for stereo equipment in the back, maybe in a custom coffin box or something! Hypsi87 09-09-2003, 01:16 AM this sounds like a baadd ass project  anyway the type of flames that you want are called ghost flames and they are difficult to shoot. i worked at an autobody shop and we did custom stuff like that and the guy that shot ghost flames had been a painter for 30 years. and mickey thompson make a street slick called "ET streets" they are a dot approved slick and they work my uncle pulles wheelstands with them on his grand national lrd56 11-20-2003, 02:18 PM hey hearseman on the web look for grim rides also you need to post what company made the hearse .is it superior /or m and m if you look on the firewall it should say .i used to own a 66 caddy superior ambulance i have a wife who is in a wheelchair and wants anothor ambulance or hearse she likes biig cars that ride nice with biig trunks to carry her wheelchair. big cars forever anything smaller than a big car is too small Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
