5 speed

ok i want a 5speed instead of a 4speed in my truck. I plan on doing a v8 swap later on but it is my daily driver for now. What transmissions will fit (borg-warner t5?). Also what speedo connections am i looking for? Thanks

Re: 5 speed

You'll need to change transmissions with the engine swap anyways so why not just do the full job all at once.

Personally if I was going to do such a project I'd haul the motor and 5 speed (or even 6 speed) out of a Comaro and use that in there. Or even better if you can somehow get the drive train from a Vette

If you've got the room just buy a totaled unit (Not in a front end collision), and sell the parts that you don't want. You'll basicly break even when your finished

Re: 5 speed

If your going to drag race it, you already have the right transmission(I assume you mean 4spd stick). But I agree with Overboard, an LS6 and a 6-shooter = NICE!! Even a 327 and a 5-speed would tear up the asphault...

Re: 5 speed

Yeah. There's a hollow drive shaft with no joints connecting the flywheel and the transmission.
