Lightbulb Breaking in a new Headgasket

Just finished replacing my headgasket on the 5.7 burb. I have been letting it warm up to temp then slowly driving it around the neighborhood.
Do I need to do any kind of engine break-in procedure?
How soon should I change the oil? Also I have 20 gallons of fuel that is a year old in the tank, is this a problem?

Thanks for all the help.

Re: Breaking in a new Headgasket

Just don't overheat it of course, dump the fuel asap. If you didn't change the oil right after the repair, do it.

The oil was changed when I put the heads back on. When you mean " dump the fuel" does that mean siphon it out or burn it through the engine. If I burne it through the engine should I add any kind of fuel treatment to it??

thanks for the help.

Well I would try and get as much out as possible, could be pretty stale and may have accumulated some water.
