99 1.8t small coolant leak by oil filter

What is the part the oil filter is attached to? There are 2 coolant lines running into it. Is this the oil cooler? It has 2 pieces of metal joined at the seem and that seem is leaking from underneath. I think the shop my wife goes to for oil changes messed it up.

Anybody wants a nice Green 1.8T with 175k miles with fresh servicing and tune up (including new timing belt, water pump, hoses, etc.). Car uses nothing but fully synthetic castrol oil, changed every 3k miles or so. My wife is the original owner of the car and has all records. Overall it runs great and only has used 93 octane throughout it's life (minus the 95 my wife put in it once and the 91 when traveled out west). Tires are Kumho and have about 90% life left. Reason for wanting to sell is we don't need a turbo car that uses high octane gas. Make an offer or pm.

Thanks.

Thanks.
Oil Cooler.

I had a similar problem that turned out to be leaking hoses. I replaced the one use clamps with clamps I could tighten and it fixed the problem. You do want to get the leaking coolant taken care of because somehow the coolant is caustic in open air. It will eventually etch the aluminum of the oil cooler away.

If the oil cooler is really damaged it can be replace too. Held in place by one nut on the same stem the oil filter screws onto. $80 at ECS.
