Advice for buying an R/T?

I'm sick of my slush-box GTP, and I'm looking to get something with six and a stick. I've pretty much narrowed my search down to a Stratus R/T or a Mazda6. I'm leaning towards a Stratus coupe b/c I've never owned a sedan, and frankly, I don't want to.

Anyways, I was hoping the collective minds here at the forums could advise me on anything I should look out for when shopping for R/T's. I know there are a slew of problems with GTP's that someone who never owned one wouldn't know to look for. I guess I was wondering if there was anything like that associated with these cars.

Also, what kind of aftermarket performance upgrades are easy to do on the R/T's? I'd imagine a CAI's are popular, but are there cat-backs that fit in with relative ease? I'd like to get back to the 230 horse I'm use to with the GTP, although I'd imagine just having the stick and similar torque specs will keep me happy!

Thanks for the help!

The Stratus R/T Coupe is a "red-headed step child". It is built by Mitsubishi (Diamond Star) and contains Mistsu and Dodge content. Neither the Dodge or Mitsubishi Gear heads want much to do with this car. Support and performance parts for this car seems to be on the rare side.
