Vents hot air Altima 03hotair 04-22-2006, 08:36 PM vents blows hot air - want fresh air, ac & heat are fine; on beautiful day 70 degrees and up vent is blowing hot air - 90-100 degrees. Nissan service denies problem and everything within specs. Very frustrating. :banghead::angryfire  FixUrNissan 04-28-2006, 09:45 PM If Your looking for fresh air, it's going got be warm when you put it on . Reason being the engine produces heat. By you putting the air on , and putting it on fresh air, you allowing the heat of the engine to come in also. Did this info help? hotair 04-29-2006, 11:29 AM NO-no help. Yes, I understand the air will be warmer than the outside air, but come on, a 10-20 degree difference is not acceptable. FixUrNissan 04-30-2006, 06:36 AM If you have Fresh air off , and have on recirculate .. Is it hot? Oh and you can get a 10 degree or more different .. being the engine is running at around about 200 degrees maintaining it around 190 hotair 06-04-2006, 05:02 PM the air on recirc & fresh are the same temperature - warm on days of 70's & 80's. We understand the air to be several degrees warmer than the outside; but in nice weather, we have to turn on the ac to be comfortable. We may take it to a personal friend mechanic, not with Nissan, to repair it. Otherwise the ca, is really good & we'd like to keep it for several more years.. 94altimase 08-23-2006, 06:11 PM I noticed on my '94 that when I try to run the vents w/o the AC on it blows incredibly warm air as well. What helped "solve" the problem is when the vent is on, only let the air be directed to my feet or defrost vents, the air is noticably cooler. For me, the main vents were the culprits, and will only blow cool air with the AC on. I haven't tried towards my feet yet, but thanks for the tip.:grinyes: Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
