Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T Tires

Anyone try these yet on their Tacoma?

Not to be confused with the older Bridgestone Dueler AT technology, the Revo design is supposed to be Bridgestone's latest AT techno tire.

I went to an independent tire dealer today who sells everything, and he said this tire is the best all around tire that you will find for a light truck (in his opinion). By all around, the implication is that the tire is used primarily for highway driving with an occasional off-roading....perhaps camping, fishing, hunting, etc.

Here are a couple of links on a review for this tire design:

The tire will definately cost more, but perhaps it is worth it. I was told the tires sells for around $160/tire (where I live) and that there is a $75 mail in rebate going on right now until around May 06. Even with the rebate it still costs a lot, but perhaps it is worth it.

In any event, I am looking for truckers who have tried the tire out and would like to hear what they have to say.

Talking Re: Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T Tires

check out tirerack.com, they have many sizes and seem to have lower prices, perhaps a little comparison shopping may be in order? seems like alot for a set of 4, ( 640$$ )
currently in the market for a set of tires for my ford expidition, looking at a local tire dealer, i'll be geeting a set of 4 for under 500$$ just deciding on the brand and style, you can spend a ton of money on tires, just depends on what you want i guess

Re: Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T Tires

Rick,

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, your link shows those Revo tires for $135 apiece. BUT, just out of curiosity what does it cost to have them mounted when you show up at a garage with your own tires? I wonder if most garages sort of shy away from guys who show up with their own tires that they want mounted, since they didn't buy the tires from them. I don't know, I never tried it.

What I do know is that I can pull in anytime and have my tires rotated free for the life of the tires if I buy them from the garage that quoted me the $160/tire.

Just wondering if I would get the same quality of service from a garage if I bought my tires elsewhere.

Shopping for tires on-line is an interesting thought though. Maybe I should give my local garage a call and see what they say if I tell them I might show up with my own tires to have mounted. Bet the free rotation is out the door. Maybe the savings from buying on-line isn't worth it.

Re: Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T Tires

Just put these tires on my 03 prerunner. they look great...plus after reading reviews on them they are literally the best tires for a truck the size of a tacoma...the treads provide great on road/ off road traction. They are supposed to hold up alot longer than the crap stock BF Goodrich's. i love these tires on my truck

Re: Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T Tires

The Revo is a nice "street" tire, if thats what you're looking for. I bought a set for all terrain use and they were just too soft for anything more than a freshly graded dirt road. I got tired of fixing flats and dumped them for a set of Good Year MTR's. Now that was money well spent; they're indestructable!

Re: Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T Tires

I have these on my new 2006 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner. These are the best tires I've ever owned. I work for Firestone so I see these tires each day. Firestone sells a Alenza which is another good tire, but those are highway only. I've taken these tires though light mud and they work just fine. Best for driving on wet roads. The tire aren't noisy or give you a rough ride on the highway. I also bought these for my old 93 chevy 1500. Highly recommend.
