Won't Go Away

This will sound stupid, but I have had my security light on for sometime now and it won't go away. I'm not having the starting problems anymore or any other problems for that matter, so I see no need to 'fix' whatever the security light is trying to tell me. How do I get it to turn off? I like to have a cleared no-problem dash for peace-of-mind. Could I go to autozone and have it throw codes for a security light? Or is that just for a check engine light?

Think thats only for check engine.. might want to go back and get butt raped by GM to take that light off.. or just take out the bulb behind it OR put some black tape infront of the light and you'll be done.

could always disconnect the battery for 10 mins and see if it clears it up... make sure you know your radios lock code, if it has one, prior to disconnecting the battery...
