STOCK 626 smokes Honda Accord

FIRST VICTORY FOR MAJESTA (MY 626)

a 99 stock 626 LX 5 speed with 125hp vs. 93 Honda Accord SE w/ 140 hp stock, w/ intake and advanced timing.

We didnt race off the go, we started at like 35mph. (oh yea he was talking shit about my car, but i dont know why the hell he would cuz my car looks a whole lot better than his piece of shit) Lets just say he was really confident he would win. Well i have to admit i thought he would win too. Well we raced and with my skills driving stick, i was shifting through the gears like a speed racer, and i kept pulling on his ass and leaving him in the dust . Lets just say i was so pissed that he would even dare talk shit about my 626. The road was even, and we were on good ground but there was some traffic. I would of kept going if the car in front of me hadnt hit their brakes. I would of smoked him even better.

Ok lets review, my car had about 15 less hp then his, and mine was completely stock. Not to mention i had a passenger in the car with me. Lets just say he learned his lesson, and he cant talk shit about my 626 anymore, cuz i smoked his ass!!

I beat my friend's '90 Accord with my stock '89 626. Both cars had manual transmissions, but his car had a 20 hp advantage. He couldn't pass me until I was going about 95 MPH.

well, almost completely- I've got a slightly higher flowing exhaust system, which I got because replacing the original exhaust would have cost me more than the custom one, and it would also have taken longer to get it. I don't really have too many plans for further improvements though, since I'm planning on getting a Mk. 2 Toyota MR2 as soon as I find one around here in good enough condition. I did some looking around a while ago, and I just couldn't find much at all for performance parts. If I do anything, however, I'll probably replace the stock struts with Tokico perforrmance struts and get some 16" wheels. That's about the limit of what you can do with an '89 without fabricating your own parts or installing the engine from a Probe or 626 GT.
