Need a tune???

Do i need a tune after headers. I heard that a tuned car after headers gains 5-10hp and torque as opposed to a car w/o it. Is this true??? And will my gas milage go up or down or stay the same. AND can you tune it with HP Tuners, LS1 edit, EFIlive, etc.... Or do u need a dyno tune.

Re: Need a tune???

When you dyno tune...you use EFILive, HPTuners, or LS1Edit to tune. Use the dyno to maximize power.

You will gain 5-10 RWHP with a good tune. Most of the time...when talking about getting a tune done, I am refering to a dyno tune.

Now...is 5-10 RWHP worth $450+???

Re: Need a tune???

HPTuners...yes.
LS1Edit locks into the VIN I believe, unless you tuner has an open key.
Not sure about EFILive.

There are a few random guys that are good tuners. But overall most are learning it. They might get you a little more power, but not like an experienced tuner would get you.

We had an 'experienced tuner' blow up a few motors out in Vegas...yet Jeremy and I haven't blown any up. Jeremy >>>>>>>>> me but I'm not that bad.
