Rear O2 sensor question

I have a 99 GTP that was taken in to have the resonator replaced. The day after it was done I checked it out and noticed that they removed the O2 sensor between the cat and the resonator. It seems to run the same but I wanted to know how it will affect my car? Do I need it or will it be ok? I'll be calling them monday morning. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Re: Rear O2 sensor question

What do you mean by removed? Is it missing, did they plug the hole at the bung, did you still have the ubend or was a ubend delete performed? Also what is connected to the electrical connector?

The rear 02 sensor to used to test CAT convertor efficiency. Without it you may never know if the CAT is working right or when it goes bad. The PCM may generate an error code later on such as P0420.
