1997 Lumi 3.1 A/C probs....

I put this A/C compressor in about 3 wks ago(old compressor pulley froze) it was used but was tested and does have a 1 yr warranty... anyway... The Pulley moves freely and the clutch does also...well I went to charge it today...I tested it and the pressure gauge read in the green(low)...so I tryed adding a little refrig.(yes on the Correct Line the connector is idiot proof) and it shot up to the warning(hi) mark on the test gauge... and the clutch never engaged... I checked the connector and its plugged in correctly to the compressor and I know about the relay(Ill test it tomorrow for continuity) by the coolant overflow and I cked all other fuses for it... it almost seems as if I cant get any refrig onboard .... any Ideas would be a HUGE help... As Usual Thnx In advance...

the orifice filter in the return line to the condenser (high presusre side) is probably plugged with debris from when the compressor let go. It's a $3 part, and changing it will probably fix your issue.

I think it takes a left handed metric crescent wrench, but I'm not certain, Actually, I looked in the GM computer, and it doesn't give the fitting sizes, and the line is dealer only, so I can't just do a physical check for you. I tried.
