Fiesta 1.1lx CFi MK3Rob.M 07-15-2002, 03:32 AM I have a 1994, 1.1lx CFi fiesta, its a good little car, but no matter how hard i try i cant cure the flatspot. As i rev the car from tickover it takes a while to respond, this sometimes makes gear changing messy, i'm not expecting the car to go fast i just want it to driver better, i have tried all sorts of stuff, checking the vaccum hose, fuel additives, even the ecotek CB26P valve, and the fuel injector is spotless, but i've had no luck. Does any one else have this problem and does anyone know how to sort it?. Would be gratefull of any advice. Cheers Rob.M. Fezzy Boy 06-19-2003, 07:27 AM I've been having a similar problem with my '93 Fezzy, it's been on going for about a Month now. I've tried all the obvious stuff like yourself even changed the Air Filter and Oil. Like you I'm suffering from flatspots in all gears!, what's the mileage on your Motor?. Mines only done 55,000. Considering taking it into Ford see if they can discover the fault, will take out a Bank loan before hand though. I'll keep you updated on my progress........if any. mechy1barry 12-02-2003, 03:46 PM these models did or rather do suffer a lot with these problems.you could check to see if you have any air/vac leaks, that the throttle body is clean.and the tappets are not tight.otherwise get it code read,as it could well be either the m.a.f sensor-e.c.t.-i.a.t.---etc, ect.or even the e.c.u. so have it scanned and perhaps save some money and time.
