Re: does 4x4 work????

this is not really good for it but take it to a parking lot put it in 4wd and turn if you feel it bind or jump stop your 4x4 is working if there is no binding you have no 4x4

Re: does 4x4 work????

can you feel the transfer case shifting in to 4x4, if you can then its got to be the front axle not locking in. To check it on my 93 blazer there is a vacume actuator underneath the battery all I did is start the vehicle in 4x4 and pull the battery and tray (making very sure the positive cable did not ground out) to see if the actuator is pulling in. if it isnt then check the vacume line at the actuator and make sure you have vacume thereif you have vacume then your actuator is bad if you do not have vacume then its probably the switch on the transfer case that will need replaced. Hope this helps good luck.
