I have just recently purchased a new Escort for my girlfriend, which unfortunitly means that it is time for one to go.
ESCORT GT: A little over two years ago we purchased a 93' Escort witha dead tranny. When purchasing I had no clue what a GT Escort was. But after a couple of days I realised that this one was not nearly as common as I once believed. There is really no way to beat around the bush here....the car is pink! I have checked the build sheet and according to it the color is called "champagne" no overspray in any of the jams, I believe that this is the original color. The interior is very nice with the GT optional equipment along with the pink pinstriping. It is the 1.8 DOHC that runs very well, mated up against an auto tranny. She has driven the car without problems for the past two years, but it is now time for a change as she wanted something different. The car is nice, but not perfect. The rear driver "A" pillar has a crease in it, and the rear bumper has a crack. It has new brakes front and rear along with a nice set of tires. New CD player. I am not sure of the miles as it is crossed over the 100k mark and reset itself. There is a crack in the windshield, and a vibration that I believe is a tranny mount. CLEAN TITLE

EXTRAS: One year ago I parted out a 91 red GT. It had a very nice running 1.8 that I pulled and shelved. It still sits there as of today, minus the alternator I pulled from it and a few other misc pieces, great longblock no knocks. I got tons of interior parts, Seats front and rear, door panels console trim. A rear end with a complete disk brake setup. 4 GT aluminum wheels. Grill insert, lamps front and rear, a very nice rear GT bumper which would be perfect to replace on the 93.

EXTRAS: Right now I am currently driving a 93 Escort LXE. Again when I bought this I didn't even know what an LXE was, and for those of you who do not, an LXE is a four door Escort Sedan with the GT engine, 5 speed transmission and suspension. It has aluminum wheels with great tires, a clean interior, new computer, and a new CD player. It currently has a intermitant miss that I haven't found and don't have time to find. I am not joking when I say that I currently own 8 vehicles myself. My father is about to blow a gasket. I an honest when I say that I am not attempting to pawn any of these vehicles off on someone. What I do understand is that these cars are getting hard to find parts for, so I think that if you own one you should own several. $1600 can take everything Escort that I own, I would really like to sell them as a pakage deal but would consider selling them individually.
