Question Re: 92 grandprix no spark

I as a mechanic know that you always start with all the simplist of things, so yes we checked all the fuses. swaped out the ecu with 2 others and nothin. No power to coils anywhere or cps. Iam working on this pos for a friend of mine(not my car) and i got it after they started ripping it apart!!!!!!!!!!! maybe somethin under the pass side dash???? Would the cps cause this or is this a common problem on the 3100 to loose spark.????? thanks for your comments.

Re: 92 grandprix no spark

The CPS sends the signal to tell the ECM when to fire the plugs, so a bad one would cause no spark. The CPS is no where near the oil filter (which is in the front of the block), it's in the back of the block just above the oil pan rail, slightly toward the passenger side.
