Can a 97 taurus be disabled some way not to start? like remove a fuse or something? ,, I sold mine and they drove about 5 miles and said engine blew and screaming they wanted there money back! sold it for 1700.00 gave him back 1000.00 , and he keeps the car, I checked the oil and it was full , no antifreeze anywhere, car would not start did nothing but the dash indicators would light up. I think it was nothing but a little oil leaked out on exhast manifold and they freaked out and pulled a fuse or something to make it look like it was ruined, they said smoke was coming out pointing along bottom of valve cover, engine been running like a dream before this. thanx

A starter relay being slightly pulled out would make the car not start.

several of the fuses in the front (big) fuse box being pulled would cause it not to start
