German Lubro Moly Diesel PurgeCmotif 07-13-2002, 01:05 PM I understand that this is the hot option for keeping Mercedes Diesel performance up. Has anyone else used this product before? I have two cans that I am going to have run though my engine on Monday, and I look forward to the results. (It is not run through the tank, but the fuel intake line is directly run from a can of diesel purge.) The only place where I know to get it is through www.mercedessource.com but their are probably more out there. It was great finding www.mercedessource.com I have ordered dash lights, tools, maitenance manuals for the shade tree mechanic, fuel filters and other products from them. They have great prices and lots of knowledge. They love working on Mercedes and restoring them. It is their hobby that has turn into a business. Cmotif <>< Benzaholic 07-14-2002, 03:55 PM Diesel Purge is one of the few worthwhile aditives or treatments. I used it on my 85 300D. Although the best way to use it is to feed it through directly, like you mention, it can also just be dumped in the fuel tank if you have any left over. I would also suggest you check out Rusty Cullens for a supplier at www.buymbparts.com (http://www.buymbparts.com) . I'm pretty sure he sells diesel purge. He also has outstanding prices and service. And Performance Products (http://www.performanceproducts.com) sells diesel purge, although for a higher price than Rusty. They have nice catalogs, though, with lots of exploded drawings of engines and bodies. I find their catalog to be a useful reference. It seemed to spool up a lot smoother on the drive home. It is nice that I don't have the cylinders fighting each other by not pulling their own weight.
