Cool power steering pump

i have a '99 grand am se 3.4 6cyl. and i was just curious if anyone here know how to replace the power steering pump?? what are the steps? the pulley on my p/s pump is starting to have some wobble. thanks in advance guys. jake

well its not that hard if you just look at the pump.......

First you'll need to disconnect the battery(disable your radio security first if its enabled).
Then you need you suck some of the fluid out of the resivour, remove the sepenteeen belt, remove the cruiz control actuator, unplug the VASA thats pluged into the pump, Loosen pumps lines with a line wrench(might want to plug them with something to keep out debrie and air), and then remove the the bolts holding the pump.
You will need a swivle joint to reach them through the holes in the pully. and if you are replacing the pump with a new one, the pully has to be pulled with a puller.

Before you do all this, you might want to check and see if the pumps pully is just loose and not a bad pump shaft.
